How BlackRock's former Head of Digital Asset is positioning for maximum ETH upside

As former Head of Digital Assets Strategy at BlackRock, Joseph Chalom has seen a lot.

He spearheaded efforts to bring to market BlackRock’s flagship spot BTC ETF (IBIT) and spot ETH ETF (ETHA), both of which now hold a combined $100B in BTC and ETH. IBIT is considered the fastest growing ETF of all time and ETHA is considered the 3rd fastest, having reached $10B in assets in just 251 days since launch.

Joe also championed BlackRock’s first tokenized money market fund, BUIDL, built on Ethereum Mainnet, now managing just under $2.4B in assets.

So in July, when it was announced after 2 decades at BlackRock, that he had joined one of the largest ETH treasury companies in the world, SharpLink, as Co-CEO with Joe Lubin—Nomatic and I took notice.

We’ve been covering SharpLink and other top ETH treasury companies on The Edge Podcast and in The Edge Newsletter so we felt it’s long overdue we have Joe on the podcast to learn more about why he believes SBET, and ETH DATs in general, are a superior way to get exposure to ETH upside.
